Kalonzo Musyoka has said he will make a major announcement that will shake the political arena in the country in two days.

The Wiper party leader said that in Mwala, Machakos County during the burial of Joseph Karithi.

Kalonzo relayed messages of condolence from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua.

That signalled that he could be heading to the Azimio coalition and could announce the same in the two days he said he will make the disruptive announcement.

Kalonzo also asked the Kamba community to support his political decision because he also has the Wiper party delegates’ blessings.

"I will give a political statement within two days’ time. That’s why I am requesting the Kamba community to support my political move,” Kalonzo said.

The Wiper party recently resolved to work with Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition and asked Kalonzo to work with Raila ahead of the August election after 45 aspirants voted for the move during a meeting held in Machakos last week to determine which way the party would go.


Kalonzo also said even though he was earlier given authority to vie for the presidency, all communities need to work together for the country to advance.

“I was given authority by Wiper delegates to contest for the Presidency. It isn’t only Wiper and Kamba community, but we need all communities for Kenya to move on as a nation,” Kalonzo said.
