Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition presidential running mate Martha Karua embarked on her second leg of the campaign in the vote-rich Mt. Kenya region.

Karua resumed her offensive in the region on Tuesday on a trail that saw her and her team traverse the large Laikipia county making 6 stopovers at Naibor, Nanyuki, Makutano, Wiyumiririe, Manguo before ending the day at Nyahururu town.

Karua told Nanyuki residents that the Azimio coalition’s top priority was security. She urged the communities living in Laikipia to embrace unity, shun violence and live harmoniously.

“We would like you to unite. The work of our principal Raila Odinga is to unite all Kenyans,” Karua said.

Karua urged Laikipia residents to back Raila’s presidential bid.

This second tour of Mt. Kenya by Karua comes barely a week after the first one when she hit the road immediately after Raila picked her as his running mate ahead of the August election.

Agriculture CS Peter Munya and Laikipia Governor Nderitu Muriithi among other leaders accompanied Karua on the tour.
