The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga arrived at the Nairobi Serena Hotel on Monday morning ahead of the Azimio running mate interviews.

Upon his arrival at Serena, Raila was briefed on the progress and he was notified that candidates Ali Hassan Joho, Martha Karua and Sabina Chege has already arrived for the exercise.

However, Raila declined to speak to the media when he arrived and the Executive Director of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition campaign secretariat Raphael Tuju advised the journalists who had questions to ask Raila to wait until after the meeting for answers.

The Woman Representative for Murang’a County Sabina Chege was the first person to face the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Running Mate selection panel.

She said it was a pleasant experience and far from the normal interview situation people are used to; it was more of a conversation.

“It was a good experience. Just having a conversation and the panel just wanted to know much about myself and what I bring on the table, but I would say it was really not an interview but a conversation,” Sabina said.

The next candidate to face the panel was the Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
