The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) wants a fresh autopsy done on the body of the son of Nominated Lawmaker David Sankok to establish the exact cause of his death.

A postmortem done on the body of 15-year-old Memusi Sankok on Tuesday indicated that he died as a result of a bullet that entered through his chin and exited atop his head.

DCI detectives investigating his death have expressed doubt on the autopsy and ordered a fresh process to establish whether he committed suicide on May 2 or he was murdered.

Officers from the DCI homicide unit want the fresh autopsy done for forensic analysis to be done by the government pathologist Johansen Oduor before laying the matter to rest.

Due to the new developments on the tragic incident, Memusi Sankok’s family will now have to postpone plans for his burial which had been scheduled for Tuesday, May 10.

“As a committee, we have decided that the burial set for Tuesday will be reviewed due to some family members who are traveling. We will give a comprehensive statement on Monday,” Narok East MP Ken Aramat told the media.

Meanwhile, police officers have made several visits to the home of Sankok in Narok in a continuous effort to piece together evidence to establish what transpired on the fateful day.

The minor is said to have had a disagreement with his father about going back to school.
