The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has promised to fix the prices of basic commodities and commodities within the first 100 days in office.

Raila said that while he was addressing residents of Laikipia County on Monday where he was on a tour of the Mount Kenya region to popularise his presidential candidature.

He noted citizens are struggling under the weight of the tough economy and can barely afford basic food commodities and has pledged to fix it.

"In the first 100-days of Baba's tenure, you will see changes. Our people are tired, they have been burdened enough. The prices of commodities are high. The price of cooking oil is high, the price of cooking flour is also higher and almost everything, but we will fix this," Raila said.

He also promised Laikipia residents that he will ensure they have adequate water supply throughout all seasons by constructing more dams and piping the water to all homesteads.

The ODM leader also said farmers in Kenya have a reason to be happy because his administration will not only provide the farmers with fertiliser but will also ensure their products have a market.

Raila also emphasised that he will implement the social protection program in which all vulnerable Kenyans will receive a Sh6,000 stipend monthly.

The former Prime Minister also said all Kenyans will have access to proper health services through his BabaCare program, which he vows will transform the health sector.

He said his government will jail all corrupt individuals as he criticised government officials who have been implicated in corruption scandals.
