An unknown gang of robbers killed a 19-year-old shopkeeper before stealing cooking oil from the shop in Uranga, Siaya County.

The OCPD Alego-Usonga, Benedict Mwangi confirmed the incident on Sunday.

Mwangi revealed the deceased was among students awaiting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results after recently sitting the exam in Machakos.

The mutilated body of the deceased was discovered by the roadside three days after he went missing.

His body was moved to the Siaya Referral Hospital Morgue as investigations into his heinous murder continue.
