Four police officers from Kamukunji Police Station have been arrested for engaging in corruption-related activities.

The four officers namely Esther Oburo, Dorcas Nzilani, Winfred Kanana and Henry Temba were arrested together with two other civilians while masquerading as officials from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA).

The six were arrested in Tuala, Ongata Rongai where they had gone purportedly to arrest two individuals on suspicion of being in possession of the prohibited nylon papers.

Apparently, the four police officers had left their posts at work to go venturing in the unsanctioned operation 25 kilometres away and without permission from the station command.

Currently, they are in custody as investigations are being carried out before appropriate disciplinary action is taken against them.
