Kajiado High Court has released the key suspect in the murder of the four young men that took place in Kitengela last August.

Benson Malonyie Ole Mungai has been released on a Sh2 million cash bail and a surety of Sh 1 million.

The suspect appeared before Justice Stella Mutuku who gave the ruling granting his release.

He was also directed to appear avail himself anytime the court required him.

The pre-trial is scheduled to take off on June 14, 2022.

Ole Mungai was accused of being actively involved in the murder of the four young bikers.

On August 8, 2021, a group of herders descended on Fredrick Mureithi Wanjiru, his brother Victor Mwangi Wanjiru, two of their cousins Mike George and Nicholas Musa.

The herders accused the 4 young men of being livestock thieves.

DCI detectives arrested the prime suspect Benson Melonyie ole Mungai from his hideout in Kitengela. He was positively identified as the person who coordinated the attack on the four.
