A woman from Nairobi died under an unclear circumstance on Thursday morning after she spent the night with her brother-in-law at a lodging in Nairobi city center. 

The woman, 42, who hails from Mwiki in Kasarani, was reportedly pronounced dead on arrival at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where she was rushed after developing complications. 

According to police, her 45-year-old brother-in-law had traveled to the city from Malindi the previous day arriving at 7:30pm before he hooked up with his brother's wife and booked a room at Graceland Hotel. 

The said lodging facility where they spent the night is situated along Dubois Road in Nairobi’s Central Business District. 

The police indicated in their incidence report that “the woman developed complications and started coughing and vomiting” at around 6am Friday morning.

It is then, according to the police report, that the brother-in-law hired a taxi and frantically rushed her to KNH but she unfortunately died on the way.  

The body has been preserved at the KNH mortuary after the matter was reported at the Kenyatta National Hospital Police Post under OB Number OB14/24/9/2020.
