Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said he is left with no option but to work with Raila Odinga ahead of the August general elections.

Kalonzo said One Kenya Alliance (OKA) determination to work together with Azimio la Umoja to form a grand coalition that will comprise OKA and Azimio la Umoja.

Kalonzo was speaking during an interview in a local station on Tuesday evening where he said he deeply consulted within Wiper party and OKA and resolved to work within the grand coalition.

“After deep consultations with my own party and the One Kenya Alliance, we have said we are ready to work within a grand coalition of Azimio and OKA,” Kalonzo said.

He reiterated that regardless of the outcome of Raila’s move on their previous 2017 pact with himself they still have to work together under the coalition.

"Within that bigger framework, we have no option but to work with Raila Odinga," Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo’s assertions came shortly after he issued a statement in which he vowed to only work with Raila if he honoured their 2017 agreement.

Before the 2017 elections, Raila and Kalonzo signed a pact that would see Raila vie for only one term, then back Kalonzo in the next one, which happened to be 2022.

Kalonzo accused Raila of going back on their 2017 coalition agreement under the National Super Alliance NASA.

However, during the same presser, Kalonzo insisted there was no bad blood between himself and Raila.

"There is no tension between me and my brother Raila Odinga," he said.
