The Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has agreed to grant his wife Madina Giovanni Fazzini a divorce she had filed for.

Joho presented himself at the Mombasa Kadhi’s Court on Wednesday to respond to the divorce case filed by Madina.

He did not object to his wife’s petition for divorce but consented to the termination of their marriage, bringing an end to their 14 years of marriage.

Madina filed for a divorce at the Kadhi’s Court saying eh substance of their marriage had been dissipated and lacked basis since Joho moved out of their matrimonial house in June 2013.

She also dismissed the possibility of reconciliation or compromise in their marriage.

“There is no hope or possibility of reconciliation or compromise of whatsoever nature or kind between the petitioner and respondent,” the court papers read.
