Police are looking for a security guard who is suspected of stabbing a 26-year-old man to death over a Sh20 parking fee dispute in Nairobi’s Kahawa West area.

The suspect only identified as Saluni is said to have demanded a Sh20 fee from the deceased for parking his motorbike next to the construction site he tends.

It would appear the deceased was not willing to part with the amount Saluni was asking for and was ready to leave.

That is when Saluni is believed to have fished his weapon, suspected to be a Somali sword from under his shuka and thrust it into the victim’s belly.

After committing the heinous crime, the suspect fled from the scene, leaving the deceased fighting for his life.

Well-wishers who heard the victim writhing in excruciating pain rushed him to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

He must have lost a lot of blood or the sword punctured his vital organs.

His body lies at the mortuary of the same facility pending an autopsy.

Meanwhile, detectives from Kasarani processed the crime scene and a serious manhunt for the suspect has been launched.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information that may lead to the Saluni’s arrest to contact them through the ‘Fichua Kwa DCI’ toll-free number or report to the nearest police station.
