The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has notified the public of the closure of a section on Langata Road.

This follows the planned closure of the road to pave way for the erection of a footbridge.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Langata Road, at the Nyayo Stadium Roundabout, will experience traffic disruptions. This follows planned closure of the road to pave way for the erection of the Nyayo footbridge,” the notice read.

The road will be closed at the Langata Road Roundabout therefore motorists should expect traffic disruptions.

According to KeNHA, the road will be closed on Saturday from 4:00 am to 2:00 pm.

“The road will be closed on Saturday, February 12, 2021 from 4:00 am to 2.00pm. The Nairobi - Langata bound traffic will be diverted just after Nyayo Stadium Roundabout into one of the Langata - Nairobi bound lanes, sharing with the Nairobi bound traffic,” KeNHA said.

KeNHA has advised motorists to adhere to the proposed management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site.

Motorists are also urged to exercise caution and road courtesy for efficient management of traffic.
