The Amani National Congress (ANC) unveiled Musalia Mudavadi as its flag-bearer ahead of the August election.

Mudavadi was announced the presidential candidate for ANC during a highly publicised National Delegates Convention event held at the Bomas of Kenya Nairobi on Sunday.

The ANC presidential hopeful promised to shake the country to its core with an announcement on Sunday.

Through their Secretary-General Simon Kamau, the party’s NDC mandated Mudavadi to seek partnerships and negotiate pre-election or post-election arrangements with other political parties.

Mudavadi invited politicians from across the political divide save for Raila Odinga who at the time was spreading his Azimio la Umoja message in Nakuru County.

However, a few of Mudavadi’s invited guests walked out of his event on the realisation that Deputy William Ruto’s UDA team was also going to grace the occasion.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU’s Gideon Moi, and ODM’s Jimmy Wanjigi walked out of the NDC meeting when members of DP Ruto’s UDA party members made a grand entrance.

Ruto later attended the meeting and promised that UDA and ANC are going to work together.
