He told the cadets that Kenyans expect more in their service.

"Ahead lies years of service at a time that we have reforms in the security sector, the Kenyan society is experiencing transformation. Expect Kenyans to demand more of your service," Uhuru said.

Uhuru said the growing number of police officers is part of a retooling of the security sector to make Kenya a secure and peaceful nation.

The Head of State charged the officers to serve the country with fidelity, courage and integrity, commitment and ensure equal service to all.

"There's no greater honor for any citizen than to serve your country. Serve Kenyans with fidelity, courage and integrity to bring honor to self, family and nation with commitment to your duties. Tuache ufisadi, ukabila, ensure equal service to all and you shall succeed," Uhuru said.
