He urged candidates who will lose in the elections to remain put in the outfit as they will still be useful and together they can achieve what they set out to do.

"Don't lose in the election and then run away to our competitors. Let's remain in Azimio because together we can achieve what we have set out to do," Raila said.

Raila said many people will vie for various elective positions under the banner of Azimio, but only a few will win in the nominations, but that does not mean losers are useless.

"We may have dozens competing for a ward seat under Azimio, but only one of them will win. This does not mean those who lose are useless," he added.

Senator Fatuma Dullo said pastoralists fully support Raila’s presidential bid.

"As pastoralists, we are going with you all the way," Dullo said.

The Cabinet Secretary for Treasury Ukur Yatani who was present in the meeting said the leaders from Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) want to be part of the decision-making process, therefore, support Raila’s presidential bid.

Yatani said leaders from ASAL are fully backing Raila because they are sure he will form the next government.

"We want to be part of the decision-making process in your administration because you'll form the next government," Yatani said.
