The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a one week planned closure of the T section of Langata Road.

KeNHA said the closure of the T-Mall section is meant to pave way for the erection of the T-Mall Flyover.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Langata Road, at the T-Mall Roundabout, will experience traffic disruptions. This follows planned closure of the road to pave way for the erection of the T-Mall Flyover,” KeNHA said.

According to the KeNHA notice, the road will be closed from January 10, 2022, to January 15, 2022. The work is scheduled to take place from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am in the closure's period.

Traffic headed towards T-Mall will be diverted into traffic headed towards Langata at the Wilson Airport Junction, turning the section of the road into a two-way traffic road.

The authority has advised motorists to adhere to the traffic management plan and cooperate with police and traffic marshals directing the traffic on the site.

“KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on-site,” KeNHA said.

KeNHA has further advised motorists plying the road to exercise caution while driving along the road for better management of traffic.
