Education CS George has come under heat from a section of the public over his latest directive barring gay students from boardings school.

His remarks attracted a rebuttal from lawyer Makau Mutua who referred to Magoha as a bigot and backward individual.

Mutua said barring gay students is unconstitutional, discriminatory and inhuman. He added that being gay is natural urged people to love their children regardless of their sexual orientation.

"CS Magoha is a bigot and a Neanderthal. To bar gay children from boarding schools is unconstitutional, discriminatory, and inhuman. Being gay is as natural and African as being asexual, heterosexual, pan sexual, and bisexual. We must love ALL our kids no matter their sexualities," Mutua.

Magoha directed school heads that gay students to be barred from boarding schools.

Magoha suggested that gay students be restricted closer to their parents in day school

“There are contemporary cases of children who are homosexual and lesbians, they must go to day schools close to their homes.

The CS told the school heads that their responsibility not to allow themselves be intimidated by children and their responsibility should be for the greater majority rather than a few individuals.

“Your responsibility should be for the greater majority and not a few individuals. Do not allow yourself to be intimidated by children,” Magoha said.
