President Uhuru Kenyatta has unveiled the statue of Kenyan independence hero, pan-Africanist and former Cabinet Minister, the late Ronald Gideon Ngala.

Uhuru unveiled the statue on Ronald Ngala Street in Nairobi's Central Business District on Saturday morning.

Head of Public Service, Dr Joseph Kinyua, Sports CS Amina Mohamed among other senior government officials accompanied the Head of State to the unveiling ceremony.

Also present was the family of the late political hero, led by his son and former long-serving Cabinet Minister, Noah Katana Ngala.

Ronald Gideon Ngala was a Kenyan politician who was the leader of the Kenya African Democratic Union (KADU), a political party from its creation in 1960 until its dissolution in 1964.
