Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has elicited varied reactions from Kenyans after saying that their government would ensure all sex workers access free medical cover.

Wetangula made the remarks on Tuesday when the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals visited Coast region to popularize their agenda as the race for 2022 election intensifies.

The embattled Ford Kenya party leader promised residents of the Coast region goodies if OKA forms the next government in 2022.

Wetangula said that Kenyans struggled a lot to get access to proper medication, therefore their administration would ensure that everyone had a medical cover.

“Ordinary citizens strive to get proper medication and to educate their children. If OKA ascends to power, every Kenyan citizen including the sex workers will be covered under the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF),” Wetangula said.

Aside from the medical cover, Wetangula said the OKA principals had undertaken to fight corruption that has tarnished the image of Kenya.

His counterpart, Musalia Mudavadi, who heads the Amani National Congress (ANC) noted that Kenyans deserved to live in country where there is peace and security.

Mudavadi added that an OKA government would create a stable environment for every Kenyan to do business without any interference.
