Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli has caused an uproar after referring to Moses Wetangula's party as a political Kiosk.

The outspoken SG said it is the right time for Wetangula either to join the ODM leader Raila Odinga or William Ruto.

Atwoli said as political temperatures keep rising in the Country, we are likely to have a two-horse race which will definitely lock Wetangula out due to the few followers he has.

Atwoli insisted that they shall be no escape route for Wetangula this time if he will not make the right decision ahead of next year's general election.

Atwoli also said that on 31 December he will convene a meeting at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega County whereas leaders will announce the next move for the community that over years has been politically divided.

Atwoli said that this is when the leaders will tell Luhya people the person to elect during the general election as the Country's fifth president.

To what seemed like warning Kenyans towards electing Ruto as the president, Atwoli said the Country needs an old leader just like Joe Biden who can bring the Country together rather than electing a young leader who will burn the Country.

Recently, Wetangula lost his close allies Wafula Wamunyinyi and Eseli Simiyu who decamped from the party following a disagreement that spiked a political division within the party.
