Jubilee Party is set to postpone to a later date its much-awaited National Delegates Conference (NDC) that had earlier been scheduled for Tuesday November 30 in Nairobi.

Swala Nyeti has reliably learnt that the party led by President Uhuru Kenyatta plans to release a new date after ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga officially unveils his 2022 presidential bid.

Raila has indicated on several occasions that he would officially announce whether he will be gunning for the country’s topmost political seat or not on December 10.

According to the source familiar with Jubilee’s inner dealings, the party opted to move the date that coincided with the president’s State of The Nation address slated for Tuesday afternoon.

The source told Swala Nyeti that since Jubilee will not field a presidential candidate, it was wise to await Raila’s announcement before holding the NDC that will cement its coalition with ODM.

The stage had been set for the NDC that was to be held at the Kenya International Convention Center (KICC) to also kick out rebel deputy party leader, Deputy President William Ruto.
