Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has arrived in Trans Nzoia County ahead of his political tour to popularize Azimio la Umoja.

Odinga landed at Serwo and was received by a section of elected and local leaders led by Noah Wekesa.

Odinga will address a series of rallies across the region among them Sibanga, Maili Saba, Kolongolo, Endebbes, and Matisi.

Raila will head to Kitale town and Kiminini where he is expected to have major rallies.

The county is well known for its production of maize, beans, wheat, tea, and potatoes.

Governor Alex Tolgos is among those leaders attending the rally.

His Trans Nzoia county tour comes a day after TIFA report ranked him as President Uhuru's most preferred successor ahead of the August 2022 general election.

According to the report, many Kenyans believed that Kenyatta prefers Raila to Ruto to lead the country after the end of his term in the office.
