Deputy President William Ruto returns to the Mt.Kenya region for a week-long tour as he seeks to consolidate his fortunes in the vote-rich territory.

Ruto had earlier addressed a series of rallies in Thika town and Gatundu North constituencies selling his hustler narrative with the promise to overhaul the country's financial crisis.

According to the DP, his first priority if elected president next year will be job creation for the youth through the implementation of the big four agenda that he claimed was derailed by the handshake and the clamor for constitutional changes.

Ruto rooted for an overhaul of the country's financial system to caution relying on small and medium enterprises and burdened by the rising cost of doing business.

Ruto claimed that Jubilee supporters were given a raw deal the president seemingly backing the ODM leader Raila Odinga to take over from him next year.

Ruto will head to Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi counties on his vote hunting mission in Mt. Kenya East political bastion.

Ruto urged the residents to support his 2022 presidential bid.
