Opposition Chief Raila Odinga attended a Sunday church at St Mary Legio Maria in Makongeni Nairobi county accompanied by a host of political class including Makadara MP George Aladwa and former MP for Gatanga Peter Kenneth.

Odinga remained hopeful of leading that country and succeeding present Uhuru Kenyatta who is serving his last term in office.

Odinga continued to call for the unity of the nation through his 'Azimio la Umoja' campaign as the only remedy for the stability of the country.


Kenneth promised to campaign for Odinga in Mt Kenya as the race to succeed Kenyatta at the state Intensify.

On his part, Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa urged those aspirants vying for elective posts under the party to remain loyal as towards 2022 general elections.

Aladwa said those members who will be defeated during the party's nomination should not leave the party but seek other elective positions.

This comes a day after Odinga and his team toured Nyandarua county and held a series of rallies in a bid to increase his popularity in the Mt Kenya region.
