Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome now says she will sue president Kenyatta for militarizing public institutions and government agencies in the country.

Wahome said the president has been militarizing the civilian government in total disregard of the constitution and court orders.

'' I will be among those leaders who will protect the constitution, I will move to court and present my petition against his decision,'' said Wahome.

The legislator's sentiments come after president Kenyatta decide to put various government institutions under the leadership of Kenya Defense forces.

When Mike Mbuvi Sonko was impeached by the Senate together with the Nairobi County Assembly, the head of state-appointed appointed Major General John Badi to head the country's capital under Nairobi Metropolitan Services(NMS).

The refurbished Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) in Athi River was also placed under military control by President Kenyatta despite the court ruling in February 2021 that its transfer to the military was illegal.

The recent government agency to be placed under military control is Kenya Medical Supplies Agency(KEMSA).
