Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has finally explained the remarks that he made in Nyamira county last week.

Explaining his remarks on local television, the MP said he was only trying to arouse the locals and his message did not necessarily mean Raila Odinga's government will isolate some regions.

"What I said in Nyamira County has been blown out of context, been misinterpreted, campaigns are local and I was addressing the Gusii community. My statement was not based on excluding anyone," he said.

Junet added MPs allied to DP Ruto took advantage of the sentiments to portray Raila as a tribal leader.

"I was trying to excite the people by telling them that we need to be together this time so that our numbers can be formidable as Nyanza," said Junet.
