Media personality Mwanaisha Chidzuga and her brother Hassan Chidzuga are both looking for possibilities of filling their late mothers' shoes for the Matuga parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2022 general election.

Addressing the media, Hassan emphasized that there was no animosity between him and his sister.

Hassan argued that his sister Mwanaisha should seek votes in the Garsen Constituency, Tana River, where she and her husband Danson Mungatana had registered voters and voting there in previous elections.

“It is unacceptable for her to lead the people of Matuga while she is married in Tana River,” Hassan said.

He hinted the two will have a brother-sister sit down to decide who will vie for the seat on behalf of the family.

“Everyone is just showing an interest in the seat. There is no enmity or bad blood. It is just that she has come out to declare her interests,” said Hassan.

Chidzugas' mother Zainab Chidzuga died on August 12, 2021, after a brief illness.
