Police are holding an individual, Cleophas Nyoka believed to have electrocuted his 61-year-old neighbour in Cheptais, Bungoma County.

The woman identified as Emily Kekurkat was discovered dead on Tuesday morning by neighbours with burns on both of her hands.

Emily was on an errand to deliver milk to her neighbours when she got electrocuted.

Apparently, Emily’s neighbour, Cleophas, had illegally connected his barbed wire fence to a live power source from his house as an extra security measure.

Unfortunately, Emily ran out of luck when she came into contact with Cleophas' fence.

Police arrested Cleophas and put him into custody as they prepare appropriate charges against him before arraigning him in court.
