ODM Nominated MP Wilson Sossion has denied reports circulating on social media that he had decamped to Deputy President William Ruto’s the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

The former Secretary-General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) rubbished the claims, saying he was firmly in ODM, the party headed by former Premier Raila Odinga.

The embattled KNUT boss declared interest in running for the Bomet Senate seat, currently held by Andrew Langat but he is yet to disclose the party he will be vying on next year.

"The fact that I shall gun Bomet senate seat in the next elections does not mean I have left ODM. I am a very very loyal member of ODM.Treat other reports as inaccurate propaganda and lies!" tweeted Sossion.

Rumours started circulating on social media on Thursday claiming he had quit on Raila and would seek the Bomet senate seat through Ruto’s new political outfit.

He was forced to resign as KNUT boss on June 25, a day before teachers under KNUT went to the ballot to elect new officials, saying he was exiting to focus on his legislative duties.
