A couple has shocked many after celebrating the final dissolution of their union after years of separation.

The couple chose to celebrate their official divorce rather than have the usual brawls that come up as a result of bitter breakups.

The woman took to her Facebook account to celebrate the end of the union between herself and her husband, that bore them two children.

The lady identified as Immaculate Nantongo however, threw in a disclaimer and said she was not glamourizing divorce but rather to encourage people in troubled relationships that things could work just fine even after divorce as long as they remained civil.

“Am not here to glamorize divorce but to tell anyone in a similar situation, divorce is not the end of life. You can still be civil with your ex,” she wrote.

She subtly advised that it was better to divorce than to make children endure violence or get killed because of toxic relationships between the parents.

“No parent would want their child to endure or be killed in a relationship just for the sake of it,” Immaculate said.

For those who might fear divorce may anger God, she said God may hate divorce but still loves them so much. She added that God hates divorce for what it does to people such as breaking up families.

“God hates divorce for what it does to people, it breaks up families but in the midst of your divorce you can choose to make the most out of your situation,” she added.

She advocated for better co-parenting in case of a divorce, which she said was all about giving the children involved the best opportunities in life and making the best decisions for them.

This comes only a week after Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua and his wife Lilian Ng’ang’a announced the end of their ‘long term’ relationship.

A few days later, Mutua threw a lavish birthday party for himself and a Tanzanian singer Rayvanny. The ODM leader Raila Odinga and of course Lilian Ng’ang’a, his ex attended the party.
