A total of 14 more patients of Covid-19 have succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours bringing the fatalities in Kenya to 1,027.  

This has been announced by the Ministry of Health which said that 724 more people tested positive for Coronavirus in the past 24 hours from a sample of 5,085 tested in the last 24 hours.

The new infections bring to 56,601 the total number of confirmed Covid-19 positive cases in Kenya, with the cumulative tests rising to 704,605.

703 of the virus patients are Kenyans while 21 are foreigners.

A total of 248 more patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours, 178 from the Home-Based Care Program and 70 were discharged from various hospitals across the country.

The total recoveries now stand at 37,442 as of Monday.
