Caroline Kangogo’s father, Barnaba Kibor, has come out to confirm that his daughter really committed suicide far from speculations that are rife, alleging that someone else killed her.

Kibor claims his daughter got home at around 10 pm on a boda boda, went straight to the bathroom and locked herself inside before committing suicide.

The ex-cop also said he conducted his own investigations and found the boda boda rider who brought his daughter home and established that he did not recognize that his passenger was indeed the widely sought after fugitive.

According to Kangogo’s father, the boda boda fellow is said to have picked Kangogo from Iten at around 9 pm then ferried her to her father’s home.

Kangogo’s family says she never spoke to any member of her family before taking her own life.

Kibor also urged members of the public to stop spreading rumours that his daughter was killed by someone else.

He said anyone with information pointing to a different circumstance of his daughter's death to come forth.

He however said he had not set eyes on the messages his daughter allegedly left in a mobile phone police say was found in her possession because it was taken away by the police.

Elgeyo Marakwet police commander Patrick Lumumba also said Caroline Kangogo shot herself dead, however, the police are conducting investigations to confirm if that was indeed the case.

He also confirmed Kangogo was not in communication with her family since the time she became a wanted person.

The family of the deceased maintains that their daughter was innocent until otherwise proven

Kangogo’s family intends to bury her on July 24, 2021, contrary to her alleged wishes for cremation.
