The search for the widely sought after police corporal turn fugitive Caroline Kangogo has come to a tragic end.

Kangogo took her own life at her parents’ home in Nyawa village, Tambach division in Keiyo at about 7:30 am

The Rift Valley police commissioner George Natemba has confirmed the incident.

Police have revealed that they were about to make her arrests as they were zeroing in on her before they were alerted about her death.

Kangogo was found in the bathroom with a pistol in her hand with which she used to take her own life.

The late corporal’s parents alerted the police who came and found her in a pool of blood on a sitting position in the bathroom.

Her body was discovered by her mother who was going to take a birth in the early hours of the morning.

It still remains unclear how Kangogo gained access to her parents' home.

Kangogo was on the run after allegedly killing two individuals in what was first assumed to be a love triangle.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations issued an arrest warrant for Kangogo on suspicion of killing John Ogweno at the Kasarani Police Station in Nakuru.

Kangogo was also being sought for the alleged murder of another person Peter Ndwiga in Juja.
