The bodies of the two children who went missing from Buruburu on June 20 and July 1 have been discovered in a thicket in Spring Valley, Westlands, in Nairobi.

According to an investigation report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the children were kidnapped from Buruburu for ransom.

Unfortunately, the ransom demands failed, prompting the kidnappers to kill the innocent children.

Police have already arrested a suspect in connection with the kidnapping and murder of the two children. The suspect was traced to a rented house in the Kitengela, Kajiado.

After interrogation, the suspect led the sleuths to the exact scene where the bodies of two children were found dumped.

The bodies of the minors were later transferred to a Nairobi mortuary, where autopsies will be conducted to find out the exact cause of their deaths.

There has been a rise in kidnapping incidences within Nairobi and its environs.
