A total of 14 more patients of Covid-19 have succumbed to the disease bringing the total fatalities in Kenya due to the virus to 884.

 

This is according to the latest figures released by the Ministry of Heath, which showed 631 more people tested positive for the Coronavirus, from 6,142 samples tested in 24 hours.

 

Due to the new infections, the number of people who have been confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19 in Kenya went up to 47,843 as cumulative tests also rose to 646,367.  

 

596 of the new virus patients are Kenyans and 35 foreigners.

 

371 recoveries have been recorded in the last 24 hours with 313 recorded from the Home-Based Care Program, 58 discharged from various hospitals raising total recoveries to 33,421.

 

Currently, 20 patients of the new virus are receiving treatment while in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 59 on supplementary oxygen and 16 in High Dependency Unit (HDU).

 

At the same time, a total of 1,142 people remain admitted in various health facilities across the country, while 3,238 are being treated under the Home Based Isolation and Care.
