Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) news anchor Purity Museo announced on Thursday that she had tested positive for Coronavirus.

 

Museo posted the news on Twitter on Thursday morning saying she opted to take a test after experiencing a headache, fever, body pain and losing her sense of smell since Sunday evening.

 

“Hello fam Been having headache, fever, body pain and lack of smell since Sunday evening. Decided to test for COVID-19 and the results came out last evening POSITIVE,” she posted.

 

The health journalist, who also hosts Famility Matters show on KBC, however confirmed that she was in self isolation and was taking relevant medication and asked her fans to pray for her.

 

“I am on medication/isolation at home following doctor’s advice. Keep me in your prayers and stay safe,” she added in the tweet.

 

 

According to Purity Museo’s bio on Twitter, the bubbly journalist is a born again Christian and was the recipient of the 2020 Presidential Order of Service Award.
