A CCTV footage capturing the moment two police officers and an unidentified woman were shot at inside Quiver Lounge and Grill on Friday has emerged shocking the Kenyan public.

In the footage, one officer is seen drawing his gun and opening fire and flees the scene as another fired back leaving the woman caught in the bitter fire exchange left wounded.

The CCTV video captured the moment a group of around 6 men are engaged in a heated argument, although one cannot make out their conversation, before all hell breaks loose.

The fierce altercation left revelers at the Quivers Lounge, which is located along Thika superhighway, scampering for safety.

The wounded woman identified as Felistus Nzisa was shot in the stomach and is being treated at a hospital in Nairobi as police also seek to interrogate her over the scuffle.

The two wounded officers are also receiving medical attention at a city hospital.

The names of the two officers involved in the public display of firearm mishandling are yet to be revealed but they are reported to be attached to Kasarani and Starehe police stations.

Another footage captures the gunman who fled the scene through the back door enter a black Toyota Landcruiser that had been parked at a nearby carwash before speeding off.

Kasarani sub-county commander Peter Mwanzo said the officers attended a party by the Kasarani OCS but it remains unclear if the suspect is a police officer or a licensed gun holder.
