The Women Representative for Kiambu County Gathoni Wamuchomba has ditched Ngunjiri Wambugu’s Kieleweke team and officially joined Deputy President William Ruto affiliated Hustler Nation.

Wamuchomba was accompanied by Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa in Karen when she made the announcement.

She said that she is aligning herself with Ruto because it was the wish of the people she represents.

"I am aligning myself with the DP because that is where my people want me to be," Wamuchomba said.

Her decision to ditch Kieleweke has dealt a blow to the team as evidenced by the team leader, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu’s Facebook post.

Wambugu said that Wamuchomba was a valuable player in their team and losing her was regrettable. 

“Honorable Gathoni Wamuchomba was a valuable player in our team. Losing her is regrettable.” Wambugu’s post read.

However, he said that no respect was lost for her decision and wished her well. 

"I don’t agree with her, but this doesn’t change the respect I have for her. I wish her well as we now engage from across each other, politically."Wambugu added.
