Deputy President William Ruto has expressed his disapproval of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s support of NASA

This comes after Uhuru said that he would be backing one NASA chief for the presidency in the next general election.

Uhuru challenged the NASA principles to come together first before he picks his successor from among them.

Ruto who seemed agitated took to his Twitter account to question the president’s alignment to NASA where he also hinted that he could be working with UDA in the next general election.

“Now, with the collapse of Jubilee, isn't it fair for those who can't fit in ethnic parties to build UDA as an alternative national party? Ama?” his tweet partly read.

The jubilee party has recently been rocked by internal wrangles with a section of its members backing Uhuru and others rallying behind Ruto.

Ruto who termed NASA a regional and tribal political outfit posed in another tweet if nobody else from the 8 million population that voted for Jubilee merited the president's support.

“EUCHO!!NGAI FAFA MWATHANI!! So, what happens to the Thurakus, the kumìrà kùmèrà contingent, the 8 million of us?? None, no youth, no woman, no man of the 8M who woke up early and voted 3 times for UK/WsR ticket merit support? Sawa tu! Tutajipanga na support ya MUNGU.” Posed Ruto.

Trouble started when Uhuru and Raila came together for the popular handshake that signified a political truce between them.

After the handshake, a section of leaders supporting Ruto feels that Uhuru has sidelined his running mate in the last general election in favour of ODM rival Raila.

The berth between Ruto and Uhuru widened when then the constitutional amendment dubbed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was initiated and saw the two taking opposing sides.
