The father of a 7-year-old minor whose video emerged online driving a Toyota Prado TX has pleaded guilty of letting his son drive his vehicle without a valid driving license.

Ayub Kinyanjui was arrested after an outcry of concerned members of the public who were not amused by the boy's perceived prowess at moving a vehicle on public space but rather irked.

In the video that went viral across social media platforms, the small boy is seen driving a black Toyota Prado unaccompanied in Gatanga Constituency.

The video elicited mixed reactions from members of the public, with some praising the boy for being able to drive a car while a majority vehemently criticized the incident.

He is facing a 3-month jail term should he fail to pay a court fine of Sh20,000.

The driving licence requirements in Kenya state that you must be at least 18 years old to be allowed to drive a car.
