Lang’ata Prison Boss, Senior Sergeant Grace Nyamohanga ‘Nasra’ has surrendered to the Serious Crime Detectives at Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters in Nairobi on Sunday afternoon.

‘Nasra’ was being sought by the DCI detectives over allegations of operating a syndicate that has swindled unsuspecting Kenyans of their hard earned cash on fake job offer promises.

Police said desperate and unsuspecting job seekers in Kenya had lost more than Sh200 million to the intricate employment syndicate in only 10 months.

Aside from the fake job offer promises syndicate, ‘Nasra’ and her team are also suspected of money laundering as fake dollar bills worth SH2.4 million in local currency were recovered from her residence.

Two suspects working in cahoots with Nasra were arrested last Friday and have since been helping the police with investigations.

Nasra has been processed at the DCI headquarters and will be arraigned in court on Monday to answer to several charges including; obtaining money by false pretense, money laundering, forgery, among other charges that may be prefered agains her.
