10 more patients have succumbed to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours bringing the fatality to 797 in Kenya.

 

This is according to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, who revealed on Wednesday that 604 more people tested positive for the Coronavirus out of 5,832 samples tested within the last 24 hours.

 

Kagwe, in a statement, said the new cases have increased the number of positive cases in the Kenya to 42,541 with cumulative tests done since the first cases was reported rising to 601,623.

 

The new virus patients are 583 Kenyans and 21 foreigners, 400 are male and 204 females while the youngest patient is a five-month old infant and the oldest is aged 94.

 

A total of 88 people have recovered from the disease, 56 being from the Home-Based Care Program, 32 from various hospitals increasing the total recoveries in the country to 31,428.
