A caretaker in Lucky Summer estate in the Eastlands part of Nairobi on Tuesday evening found bullets stashed in a sack under an unclear circumstance.

The bullets stash was found in the backyard of rental houses owned by Hojan Investments by caretaker Francis Baraza while the area at around 4pm.

Baraza then reported the matter at Kasarani Stadium Police Station before the matter was handed over to officers at the Ruaraka Police Station.

Police 18 rounds of .38 special bullets, 7 rounds of 9mm tracer bullets, 414 rounds of 97.62mm blanks, a spent round of 7.62 blanks, 9 rounds of live 7.62 special bullets and 30 rounds of live 9mm bullets.

An investigation has been launched by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
