Kenya recorded zero confirmed deaths from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours leaving the cumulative fatalities at 1,685, according to the Ministry of Health. 

The Ministry, however, said 124 more people tested positive for Coronavirus, from 2,855 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the Covid-19 load in Kenya to 96,802.
   

The cumulative tests done in the country since the first case was reported on March 13 now stand at 1,055,691.

In the new virus cases, 100 are Kenyans while 24 are foreigners.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced on Sunday that 216 patients recovered from the disease bringing up the total recoveries to 79,073.

Of the recoveries recorded in Kenya during that period, 178 were from the Home-Based Care Program, while 38 were discharged from various hospitals across the country.

The new Covid-19 cases are distributed as follows;

• Mombasa 5

• Murang’a 5

• Machakos 4

• Isiolo 3

• Makueni 3

• Uasin Gishu 3

• Meru 2

• Kisumu 1
