Award-winning journalist and Citizen TV news anchor Victoria Rubadiri has finally returned to your tv screens after spending three months of training in London, United Kingdom.

Victoria went to London to be trained by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) after bagging the prestigious BBC Komla Dumor Award in September 2020.

She started her placement at the state-sponsored broadcaster in September 2021 and received training at the BBC Academy before joining BBC News TV, radio and online teams.

The former NTV anchor shared some of the highlights of her short stay at BBC.

“Getting to see the BBC machine at work from the inside was surreal. The energy and urgency of a newsroom running for 24 hours was incredible to experience. I learned a lot and even contributed some insights,” she said.

During her training, Victoria visited the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to cover a story on the rampant kidnapping of taxi passengers in the capital Kinshasa among other stories.

Victoria Rubadiri, an alumnus of the Temple University, is the sixth winner of the award launched by BBC in 2015 in honor of the late Ghanaian journalist Komla Dumor.
