Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua has issued conditions under which he would terminate the case against Comedian Eric Omondi on alleged explicit content.

Mutua on Saturday said KFCB has agreed to Omondi’s request for an out of court settlement on the matter and will delete all explicit episodes of his “Wife Material” Youtube show.

The KFCB boss appointed a mediation committee headed by top comedians Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o and Gideon Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill to iron out the issues.

“Eric has agreed to our conditions for an out of court settlement. He has agreed to take down all explicit content from his social media platforms,” he said.

The moral cop added, “I have appointed a Mediation Committee led by Jalang'o, Churchill and other top artistes to meet the KFCB team and DCI on Monday.”

He earlier indicated Omondi had apologised to the Board over his alleged explicit content and was given until Monday 8am to delete the said videos from his social media platforms.

“We received an apology and request from Eric Omondi for an out of court settlement of the case against him, but apparently the explicit videos are still circulating on his social media platforms. The pornographic videos MUST be taken down by 8am Mon 15th March 2021 otherwise. . .” he said.

Eric Omondi and the cast of his “Wife Material 2” show were arrested on Thursday by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and KFCB after ugly scenes at a Nairobi club but were released Friday on a Sh50,000 police bail each.

Mutua has publicly criticised Eric Omondi before for his type of content that he has termed explicit, but the comedian has trashed the KFCB boss saying he has done little for creatives.
