News reaching Swala Nyeti indicates that controversial blogger Edgar Obare has been arrested.

Reports says Obare was apprehended in Nairobi on Thursday and is being detained at Muthaiga Police Station.

The reason given for the blogger’s arrest is alleged misuse of an electronic device.

According to a post on his Insta-Story, he was allegedly arrested over a recent scandalous post he made concerning Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua.  

Obare has rubbed many Kenyan prominent personalities the wrong way after he exposed their alleged indiscretions on hi social media platforms.
