Deputy President William Ruto on Monday celebrated his 54th birthday with a special message from his wife Rachel Ruto as they also commemorated their wedding anniversary.

Rachel posted a loving message to her husband Ruto on her social media pages celebrating him and his role in her marital life and the country.

She shared a picture of the two of them with a caption saying he was the best thing in her life.

“It fills me with great joy to celebrate another year of life with you. Today, we celebrate your birthday and our wedding anniversary. You are passionate, loving, kind and have been a great father to our children,” wrote Rachel.

She described her feelings for her hubby as they also marked their wedding anniversary.

“Doing life with you has been the greatest adventure of my life and I’m eternally grateful to have you in my life. Happy birthday Bill. Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out & help. Eccl.4:9-10.”

DP Ruto, who was once the Eldoret North MP and is now seeking to replace President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2022, was born on December 21, 1966 at Kamagut in Uasin Gishu County.

Others who have wished DP Ruto a happy birthday include Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and former Harambee Stars midfielder Macdonald Mariga.
