This came after the Njuri Ncheke (council of elders) from the region endorsed his candidature last weekend.

Jesse said he was grateful and humbled by the elders’ endorsement of him to lead Imenti South Constituency.

“Over the weekend I was grateful and humbled by the Elders that raised me and who are from my Home Constituency of South Imenti when they honoured and bestowed on me the blessings and responsibilities to lead South Imenti Constituency as the Member of Parliament,” he said

Speaking about his endorsement, the comedian reiterated the wise saying that reminds junior members of society to respect the visions of their elders.

Jesse said he was a student of the theory and believes that the best place to drink from the cup of wisdom is at the feet of the elderly.

“They say; What the Elders Can see while seated, Young Men will only be able to see it if only they stand on their shoulders. I am a student of this theory and I believe that the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person,” Jesse said.

Jesse urged society to assure the elders of being accommodative of them and capable.

"Our society must make it right and possible for the Elders not to fear the Young or feel deserted by them. The mantle has been passed and each generation must safeguard it and extend it further," MC Jesse added.
